New Schedule for SUMMER ART PROGRAM 2011

Drawing and Illustration Techniques: Pencil work through techniques that focus on, portraiture skills, dimension, lay out, shading. Please bring in minimum size 5×7 photo of person or pet to work from

Storyboards and Cartooning: Pencil work through illustration and drawing techniques that focus on elements of size, dimension, lay-out, shading, light and darks, character development.

Co-ed Ages 10 – 16 (space limited) Must have five students to run class

Session 1: July 5, 6, 7th: 3:00-5:00: Drawing and Illustration (Wednesdays 1:30-3:30)

Session 2: August 2, 3, 4th: 3:00-5:00: Storyboards and Cartooning (Wednesdays 1:30-3:30)

Each session $95: 10% Family discount off second child

Snacks and Materials Provided.

  • Private lessons: $35 dollars per hour. Call for appt. 282-0269

Hi Everyone,

School is almost out and ART on the PIER will begin it’s second summer of classes down at StudioVO: Commercial and Fine Art Studio of Gloucester.  www.studiovo.com .  Attached is a revised form of what we will be offering.  Session 1 & 2 are dedicated to illustration work.  Portraiture work (self, pet, etc…),  Boats and Harborviews off the dock.  Session 3 is dedicated to reliefs and molds.  For more information please contact us by email.  Please feel free to download the attached form and send to Viau 41 East Main Street, Gloucester, MA.

SUMMER SESSION: Focus on Drawing and Illustration technique: Portraiture features, Landscape, Still life, Sculpture & Molds: In sessions 1 & 2 Bob will instruct the students in pencil work through illustration and drawing techniques that focus on elements of size, dimension, lay-out, shading, light and darks, facial features for Portrait work and Harbor views sessions. Self portrait work will be covered. Please send in a 5 x 7 photograph of a person or pet. Relief sculpture work and making molds will be covered in session 3.

WEDNESDAYS:  3:00 – 4:15 (materials included)

Fall Program Sept. 16 – Dec. 9:  (12 weeks)

10 CLASS PUNCH CARD: $150.00: This payment system offers flexibility to use
your 10 class card within the 12 week session: Should your child attend East
Gloucester Elementary, Bob will walk children down to the studio from school
directly at release time at 2:30.  Students from other locations may be
dropped off at 3:00.  StudioVO will provide the Students with a drink and
snack prior to start of classes.

Registration and payment by Friday Sept. 11, 2009
