We’re Reopening!
Hello there! Aaron has spent the last five weeks recovering from a rare and deadly form of bacterial meningitis. He continues to deal with some of the effects of his severe brain and blood infection, but has come a very long way, so we will be reopening this Saturday, August 5th!
In order to allow Aaron more opportunities to continue his recovery, we will now be open Wednesday through Sunday. As a result, our double points will now be offered on Wednesdays since we will be closed on Tuesdays. If you haven’t already, you can sign up for our loyalty program here.

Join us every Friday and Saturday this summer to turn up your weekend vibe at Beauport Hotel’s Sunset Sessions with tickets now on sale for August 4th & 5th!
Featuring live DJ entertainment from 617 Events, we are the only place in Gloucester featuring a 21+ evening rooftop sunset viewing party with stunning views, lively tunes and savory cocktails. Make sure to bring your suit if you want to take a dip in the pool or hot tub!
Looking to elevate your experience? We are also offering limited VIP Premium Ocean View Lounge Seating for up to four guests on the Rooftop including a bottle of Moët & Chandon Imperial Brut (inclusive of gratuity, tax and Eventbrite fees) so that you can start the evening off celebrating with bubbles!
Our limited VIP General Admission starts at $25* and are now on sale!
Have any questions? Call 978-491-5090 or email marketing@beauporthospitality.com.

Pat D’s Photos will be part of the Cape Ann Makers Market tonight Thursday Aug 3 from 4-8 PM and we hope to see you there. Free water shuttle so that alleviates parking concerns. Lots of fun stuff going on for Culture Splash: check it out here on Discover Gloucester.
We have a nice variety of items to offer as gifts or treats for yourself including notecards, giclee prints, glass prints, suncatchers and outdoor flags. I hope you will stop by. Many other talented makers will be in attendance as well. You won’t want to miss out. It’s going to be a beautiful night!
If you would like to contact me, please comment on the post, private message me on Facebook Pat D’s Photos and Adventures OR email GMGPatD@gmail.com

Since I recently posted about the digital information kiosks downtown, they have been updated with a new outer shell. It’s like they got a new wardrobe. They stand near the parking kiosks like prim older relatives. Actually, they are sleek and very modern. Check out the original post here if you missed it. Here’s the one along Rogers St near the Greater Cape Ann Chamber.

Showtimes tomorrow and Friday!

The GFAA would like to announce to the community that we have allocated funds to start a scholarship in memory of our founder and friend, Dick Wilson.
Dick passed away in July 2023. He was a believer in doing what he called “good-ness” and made a difference with his philanthropy and volunteerism in countless ways in the community. The hallmark of Dick’s life was doing good deeds, big and small, and he made Gloucester better along the way. He had a knack for seeing a problem, coming up with an idea on how to fix it, and getting people to help him make it happen. He was an inspiration to many and had a profound impact on Gloucester and the people that call Gloucester home.
We would like to offer a scholarship to a graduating high school senior. The amount will be determined annually. Half of the scholarship will be for the recipient to get started in their next chapter and half of the scholarship will be for the recipient to use to do “good-ness” in Gloucester.
Dick wasn’t a big fan of a lot of paperwork or a lot of rules, so we are going to honor that with this scholarship. More details will be shared during the upcoming school year.
If you would like to make a contribution to the scholarship, checks can be mailed to
GFAA, attn: Scholarship, PO Box 3010, Gloucester, MA 01930
