I just wanted to let you know that I’m putting together the 1st LIVE music show at The Salted Cod Arthouse on Monday 10/16. This first event will be free (no cover) and will run from 7-10pm. The bar will operate as usual for this time window. I will be performing a solo acoustic set followed by the amazing Molly Pinto Madigan! She is incredible. People can check out our music on all social and streaming platforms. I’m hoping you can give us a plug in GMG👍👍. It would be much appreciated and I would be very grateful. The Annisquam Village Hall 36 Leonard Street, Annisquam.
Nearly 40 artisans and artists will be displaying their work this weekend at the Annisquam Village Hall. The annual Arts & Crafts Show is a major community event to benefit the Annisquam Village Church.
Gloucester Schooner Festival 2012 – American Eagle, Spirt of Massachusetts, Summerwind Virginia — 2008 Mayor’s Race Thomas E. Lannon, July 1, 2023 – Out of the fog into the light
Among this year’s displays will be framed photographs of schooners, mostly from various Gloucester Schooner Festivals. Included will be a photograph of three schooners with the Boston skyline as a backdrop used for invitations in 2015 and 2019 to the Mayor’s Reception and the poster marking the 2014 festival. A more recent photograph is of Gloucester’s Thomas E. Lannon catching the evening sun July 1, 2023 as it emerges from the fog. Another shows the Virginia in 2008. The photographs below are by local photographer Carl Gustin and printed by Cape Ann Giclee.
Greer is doing great. He has been having two appts. weekly at the Brigham with the post team who are all great. His numbers are great. They are very pleased with Greer’s excellent record keeping. We just took a nice walk in Boston for exercise & fresh air. Admittedly he is a little bored but that’s understandable. We walk the boulevard, Rocky Neck, take drives….Lots of bonding time with Bob & I, ha ha. His appetite is good. He had lost 20 pounds and being 6’2″ and skinny to begin with he needs to put on some weight. He had the drain port taken out last week which was great. Still gets tired. Can’t lift. He wishes he could fish but no go yet.
He wrote a letter to the donor, Bob wrote a card and me, well, you can maybe guess, I wrote five pages. We put them together and brought them to the transplant office last week. They told us they would make sure our miracle amazing donor would receive them. We hope when they feel ready they will want to meet him.
His immune system is low right now for several months.
He can be with people for visits providing no one is sick in any way or been around anyone ill. They are fine with visitors in small groups if mainly outside.
No indoor venues with lots of people, no restaurants. Just mindful of staying healthy.
The team really wanted Bob & I to be currently COVID boosted plus get the Flu & RSV vaccines which we did.
My hope is to work with the National Kidney Registry possibly as a microsite coach to help people get the word out for Living Kidney Donorship.

On Thursday, October 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m., on the steps of City Hall, Mayor Greg Verga will proclaim the month of October as Domestic Abuse Awareness and Prevention Month. All are invited to join him to reaffirm Gloucester’s commitment to becoming a violence-free community.
Mayor Verga notes, “This is an annual gathering of community leaders and partners to recommit ourselves to making Gloucester a Violence Free Zone. Continuing to do all we can to prevent and address domestic abuse and sexual assault are substantial parts of this ongoing effort.”
“As a community, we are blessed to have the swift response of HAWC (Healing Abuse Working for Change), our police department, led by Chief Conley and the Domestic Abuse Response Officers, the intersecting efforts of the Community Impact Unit, and the continuing training offered throughout the City on trauma-informed responses. We will share updates on these endeavors at our October 5th event,” the Mayor continued.
“Even as we come together to celebrate our persistence, we are only too aware of the continuing tasks and the need to support each other as we advance this mission by asking…. ‘what else can we/should we do?'”
