Here are a couple of examples of recent signage seen as we were driving around. Like many others, we regularly check for the window sign at the Flying Dragon in Essex. I rejoiced to see “Bald Eagles” since we had spotted a group of 4 recently nearby: 2 adults and 2 younger ones. I presume it may have been a family group. Flying high, proud and free over the marsh, it was inspiring as always.
Additional signs also from the Flying Dragon in Essex and the mile markers found at Ipswich River Craft…another product of theirs!

Hi Joey, Patty Hecht here. I have a new venture I think might be of interest to you. My recipe video yesterday, Tomahawk Ribeye Steak with Bacon, Mushroom & Cream Sauce made me think of you. There are altered instructions for searing the steak on the outdoor grill. Enjoy and hope you and your family are well!!!

A Fundraiser to benefit the Annsiquam Village Hall Roof Restoration
The Annisquam Village Hall is a building that is extremely near and dear to all of us- it is the Heart of our Community. Since its construction in about 1828, the hall has watched the tide come and go nearly 140,000 times. It has witnessed six or more generations grow up nearby. It has hosted joy and sorrow, weddings, funerals, dances, political rallies, solemn and serious lectures, lighthearted frivolity, theater, and more. It has sheltered a sail loft, multiple stores, our local post office, our library, the Leonard Club, and other social organizations now lost to memory. Its owners have altered it, enlarged it, changed some of its windows and many of its doors. It is always just there, sort of like Squam Rock. After serving the village for nearly 200 years, it needs some help from the village.
Join us on Saturday, February 27, 7pm, as your friends and neighbors attempt to make you smile, laugh- maybe even cry (or roll your eyes)! You will certainly see some familiar faces!
The suggested Donation for the event is $20, with Sponsorships available and Contributions most Welcome! You will access the show on YouTube- more information available when you register on our website. Please remember that all monies collected from the Cabaret, will go to the reconstruction fund for the roof of the Annisquam Village Hall.
I hope you will consider supporting us as we support the Annisquam Village Hall! The Village Hall is our Village Home- Under this roof we build Community.
Thank you!

We had not stopped at Jalapenos on Main Street in quite a while and when I saw the advertisement that Margarita Day is today Feb 22, I knew (for the sake of our loyal readers) that I needed to “preview” their margaritas!!! My usual go-to at Jalapenos is the frozen raspberry margarita, but it was just too cold for me to order that so I went with cranberry. Served in a GIANT glass. Jim had chicken flautas and I had a steak fajita. The food was delicious and efficiently served by masked waitstaff. Tables are separated appropriately and all precautions we have come to expect are in effect. There were lots of take out orders being prepared. It was a lovely relaxed evening with friendly staff and we won’t wait so long to return this time.
