Always lots to photograph out at Eastern Point! This photographer gave my view of the Boston skyline some perspective.
My View of Life on the Dock

Here’s a couple more views of my Sunday morning sunrise over at Stage Fort Park. The black and white image is a reminder to me to always look behind you or change your perspective. I grabbed it as we were leaving just as a quick handheld snapshot but it became a favorite. Enjoy the short week ahead!

I love this spot for sunrise but I haven’t been back here since the summer mostly because I don’t like to venture through the park in the dark on my own, so my husband humored me yesterday and joined me in the -2 degree windchill. I thought it was going to be a bust because the wall of clouds to the right were coming in quickly, but we were graced with a peek of sun!
Some mornings the sun doesn’t shine through but it does give us these beautiful ombre skies!

Sharing one of last week’s morning shots from my “on the way to work” series. The frigid temps have certainly kept things interesting, but I think we’ve earned these milder days. What a difference a week makes!

It was a cheek numbing kind of sunset last night, but it was nice to get outside for some fresh air!

“Rise above the storm and you will find the sunshine” My view this morning shoveling out at work 😀
Not sure I’ve ever seen long lines at all the gas stations prior to a storm like this before. Are we preparing for an exodus? Is it because they changed the name from a good ole fashioned blizzard to bomb cyclone? My only thought is that since its been so cold people have been putting off filling up and now we’ve had a fairly warm day they’ve decided to fill?? I’ve heard from friends from here to New York that have had long gas lines as well.
Yesterday while hibernating with a cold at home for New Years Day we ordered in chinese from Jasmine Garden and the sweetest lady with the nicest smile, came to deliver in the frigid temps and handed us these awesome little chinese ornaments with our order. It’s these simple gestures that we don’t see much anymore. So thank you Jasmine Garden for making us all smile!
A few frozen views from Annisquam. It’s a good day to stay in front of a toasty fire, cook and watch the Pats game!!

Morning ride for coffee this morning to The Cove and was sidetracked by all the icebergs in the river. I am easily entertained! Stay warm!

A little sea smoke and ice to start our day. Sorry for anyone having to work outside today….brrrrrr!!!!

A beautiful crisp view on my way to work this morning!

Wishing all of the GMG gang and FOBs the Merriest of Christmases from The Mathews Family!

Let me begin by saying if you have delicate sensibilities than just read onto the next blog post because that’s what the scroll button is for. There are pics here that may offend… but they are intended to be humorous and to women who’s breasts were cut off to save their lives, it makes light of a dark situation.

Last night Sista Felicia had her first of many Fundraisers to raise money for the #Sistahood Foundation through The Gloucester Fund which will provide services and brighten the lives of women in Gloucester and Rockport who are going through Breast Cancer treatments or recovering from Mastectomy/Reconstruction surgeries. It was a fun night with Sista and friends making Naughty or Nice Gingerbread cookies and having some pre-holiday laughs! Stay tuned for the next Valentine’s event!!
Things are getting a little crusty around Goose Cove these days with the cold temps!

Had my first glimpse of the Lobster Trap tree last night so I had to stop and grab a few shots to add to the GMG collection thus far. Beauty from every angle. You can just feel the “community” in that amazing piece of art! Just what I needed to get into the spirit of the holidays! Thanks to those who give so much to make this happen each year!
