I ordered the Quesadilla Burger at Beauport’s Burger and Brew evening on Monday and it was absolutely unbelievable! Only down side is that they create a new menu of three speciality choices each week…paired with a selection of New England microbrews….so I’ll have to order something different next week. No doubt the new choices will be outstanding as well.

Of all the things my boys received for Christmas….it was a very small and last minute gift that has suddenly been keeping them entertained. Who would have thought? They’ve been just a bit obsessed with filling their change counters and watching their bank add up. Suddenly random change stuck in the seat of the car or couch cushions are a bigger score.
While I much prefer summer it is hard to deny how pretty freshly fallen snow is. Rumor has it that there is MUCH more snow coming between Monday – Wednesday.
Slightly frayed and patiently waiting for its ship to come in.
I thought about watching this on Netflix the other night, but wasn’t sure. Have any of you seen it? I’m all in for a good sea shanty.
A couple of times each month I order an Acai Bowl from SoBol in Beverly online, prepay, then run over and pick it up. They make it super easy and…..always…..super delicious. The messaging inside usually makes me smile as well….like this one for instance.
Coooold day on Cape Ann yesterday. While I realize they’re built for it, I still felt bad for the ducks floating on Mill River.
Here’s another quick photo for the “Where Am I?” series. Last week I was at The Blackbear Barbershop, the entrance to Rocky Neck, and the old gift shop in the front of the Gloucester House restaurant (finger pointing on the side of the building).
This one seems easy….but, then again, I know where I was. Ha.
We had a beautiful walk on Plum Island the other day.
Not only is this snowy owl gorgeous, but it’s a rule follower as well. Good little feathered friend…could have flown anywhere, but chose to spend Monday sitting just outside the post and fence marked, “Area Beyond This Sign Closed.” As Pat D. said, “very wise.” Speaking of Pat….a giant Thank You to her for inspiring me to take a trip to find the snowy owl after seeing all of her beautiful photos!
I took a trip around the back shore on Saturday and had to stop and watch the waves. It never fails to surprise me how no two days look the same on that stretch of rocky coast.
Who knows where I am today? Too easy or too hard….what’s your point.

I thought it might be fun to bring back some “Where Am I” photos. Does anyone recognize this light fixture? I’ll give you a little hint. Many will never step foot in here (making this even more tricky), but for those who do….you’ll probably find yourself back when the time is right.
I’m often struck by how pretty City Hall really is when it comes into view as I drive around town. I had to stop and park the other day to snap this quick photo as it caught my eye.
I saw that Pat D. and GMG Jim did a post with a short video showing turkeys in Magnolia. It reminded me that I had had a run in with those very same turkeys just a few days earlier. They were definitely stopping traffic and had no care in the world that cars were trying to get by.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d prefer a sunny summer day on the harbor, but winter days sure are pretty too. Can’t go wrong, really!
Ummm….yum! I met a friend at Mile Marker One yesterday for a late breakfast. My meal was phenomenal and if you haven’t seen how great the inside of Mile Marker and the Cape Ann’s Marina Resort looks you should take a trip over for a visit and a meal.
