Barbara and I recently had the pleasure of visiting our son Brian and daughter-in -law Karen in Venice where they are living for three months. They were great guides and interpreters.

Campo San Giacomo del’oro.

Burano is an island off of Torcello, which is off of Murano, which is off of Venice which is off of the Italian mainland. It is an amazingly colorful place.

This year is the 500th anniversary of The Assumption by Titian. It is located in the grand Basilica Dei Frari in Venice, completed in 1396. We attended an awesome choral concert there tonight.

The beginnings and ends of shadow lie between the light and darkness and may be infinitely diminished and infinitely increased. Shadow is the means by which bodies display their form. The forms of bodies could not be understood in detail but for shadow.
