Happy Hookers of Cape Ann show up for Ladies (Day?) Night 2020Photos from Cat Cavallinni

The Happy Hookers of Cape Ann, a local group of SLUTS (stressed out ladies unwinding together-during a pandemic!), are making their debut on Main Street during Ladies Night 2020.  They are crocheting and selling cozy handmade ‘warrior shawls’ and blankets in an effort to raise funds toward food insecurity in Gloucester.  Let’s shop locally, help donate locally, these make great holiday gifts.  You can find these creations on Main St. at Mermaid’s Tale (foto with Lourie Killian, owner), The Dress Code (foto with Barbara, owner) as well as Design of Mine (thank you Melissa). They are also in Magnolia at Arts Abound (thank you Sue) and The Magnolia Shoppe (thank you Betty, Magnolia Historical Society).  Much thanks to our local shops for supporting the cause and keeping the Hookers happy!  Contact the Happy Hookers of Cape Ann at crcav@msn.com if you’d like to place an order.  We will do custom designed colors of your choice.  Stay safe and Happy Holidays!

Children’s Librarian Christy Rosso showing the new computer to Gerri Kippen Heather’s Aunt

The Sawyer Free Library (SFL) has unveiled a new state of the art early literacy computer in the Children’s Room purchased by The Friends of the SFL in memory of beloved longtime children’s librarian assistant, Heather Falk, who passed away earlier this year.

For almost three decades, Ms. Falk brought her irresistible enthusiasm and joy to the Gloucester community’s children and families through her work at the Sawyer Free Library. Heather joined the staff of the Library shortly after graduating from Gloucester High School.

The Friends of the Sawyer Free Library, a community of dedicated library users whose fundraising activities support library programming and services, in gratitude and honor of Ms. Falk purchased an AWE early literacy computer for the Children’s Room in her name.

“Heather was a warm, kind, and encouraging person who deeply enjoyed…

ARE YOU WORRIED ABOUT RUNNING OUT OF MONEY? WILL YOU OUTLIVE YOUR MONEY OR WILL IT OUTLIVE YOU?

Are you successful? Do you have adult children who are struggling? Do you want to give them a leg-up in this challenging world they face today? One way to transfer some of your assets while you are alive to a younger generation is to purchase and fund permanent insurance for them, employing the ‘be your own banker‘ concept. i.e. stacking the cash value and using the accumulation for a source of loans without having to go through financial underwriting. Another good approach is this: if you are able to employ premium financing solutions towards any variety of complex financial and tax problems you may be facing, consider purchasing a significant amount of permanent insurance in order to achieve your personal financial planning goals, business planning goals or legacy intentions. Lost Earring

Hi,

I get your email daily and thought you might be able to help me.

On Sunday, my wife lost an earring (small square filled with little diamonds) somewhere along Atlantic Road or on Good Harbor beach.  Could you please reach out to your followers to see if anyone possibly found it.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated help!

Steve

Thermoworks Smoke is 20% off and my favorite remote BBQ Monitoring Thermometer

Joey Ciaramitaro's avatarNortheast BBQ

Here’s the link: https://www.thermoworks.com/Smoke

By subscribing to the Thermoworks list you get an extra 10% off as well.

My good friend Joe Ball alerted me to a big sale on a commercial grade remote thermometer- the Thermoworks Smoke.

I’d always used a Maverick 732 which is a decent consumer grade remote thermometer that retails for around $60.

The Thermoworks Smoke is professional grade. The build quality is conservatively speaking about three times greater and it can be had for $79.99 including shipping.

I can’t stress enough how good of a unit this is.  If you have a grill master in your life, trust me buy this and put it away for a birthday or Christmas and they will love you for it.
