Northern Lights over Annisquam From Kat McMillan

Let Me Preface This By Saying I Love Our East Gloucester Stop And Shop. Having Said That- $12.49/LB For Chuck Roast Is Bananas

Am I just getting old and time is passing so quickly before my eyes that this is just normal inflation like when you could buy a house in the 60s for 30 grand that’s now a million dollars? Or is $12.49 for chuck just bananas bananas?

I used to go to the grocery store every morning looking for something to cook for lunch at the dock but now by the time you pick up a couple of ingredients the price spirals past what you can eat out at.

Again, I LOVE the convenience, service, wide aisles and cleanliness of our Stop and Shop, I’m just having a hard time finding any values. Maybe it’s just me getting old and not keeping up in my mind with regular inflation.

Northern Lights

I looked out my living room window last night and could see a faint color in the sky. As is the trick, I held up my phone and immediately was treated to an amazing display. I went for a drive to Rocky Neck, to Pirates Lane, to the boulevard, Cape Ann Marina, Cape Ann Motor Inn, and then Rockport. By the time I got to T Wharf and Motif No. 1 the lights were incredibly bright and 100% visible to the naked eye. A gentleman with a tripod/camera and two women (all strangers) and I stood dumbfounded together. Maybe they’ll see this post. If so, it was nice to share such an incredible moment with you. I then backtracked and discovered that red lights could be seen easily over Long Beach, over Nugent Farm, and even over my own house back in East Gloucester.

Hello Big Blue!

We happened upon this Blue Heron recently. I miss seeing so many of them around but look forward to the winter birds!
