On that horrible day 24 years ago, a friend of my children and neighbor was supposed to be on Flight 11.Ā Ā Due to her boss deciding to save some money she was not on Flight 11.Ā Her parents did not know that she had changed her flight.Ā When we finally we found out she was not on the flight, actually she was on the runway, a change happened.Ā Have learned if something does not go your way, just let it go.Ā Grateful but the pain of that day will never go away.

Birds of a Feather…….. well, you know the rest.

The Sept 11 attack was 24 years ago. For many of us, myself included, it’s a day etched in memory. That day and the days and weeks that followed seemed to stack up horror upon horror in unimaginable ways. I will never forget, but there’s an entire generation for whom the day does not live in memory. That day changed our nation and the world in ways evident even today in the safety measures, airline precautions and more. Please take a moment today to pause, reflect and remember.
This is a blog post I wrote in 2009 that expresses some of the thoughts 16 years ago when I was still teaching and my children were young adults. It still feels relevant.
