This years event will feature a helicopter 🚁 and rescue swimmer 🏊🏻 demonstration from the United States Coast Guard , a simulated car accident 🚗 extrication from the Gloucester Fire Department 🚒 as well as an bomb squad demonstration from the Massachusetts State Police 🚔 featurng their Boston Dymanics robot “Spot”.

Both Long Beach and Good Harbor Beach were closed to swimming again due to shark sightings –and seals, too, viewed from Good Harbor. Rumors about a beached Great White circulated and dissipated. Long Beach reopened to swimmers. The waves are tremendous.

Good Harbor looked very deserted on Wednesday.  The lifeguards were on duty to make sure swimmers were staying safe.  You could see the ocean and wind changing.
