Great Day For Ducks

We took a drive toward Rockport yesterday and wandered down by Pebble Beach. Sometimes there’s not much going on at Chamborne Pond across the road, but yesterday was quite active there with ducks, a Little egret and a hawk. Normally I do not give a fig about ducks (I would have made rhyme there but you get enough of that on the podcast….) but these were ducks I didn’t recognize. I believe them to be American Black Ducks, which are relatively common but the spectacular blue coloring is very distinctive. Please correct me if my ID is incorrect. Maybe I do give a fig after all!

Join us for the second annual Main Street Meet-Up: A Gloucester Business Tour sponsored by the Businesswomen’s Committee of the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. All are invited to join in!

Put on your power-walking shoes and prepare to explore some of Gloucester’s finest retail businesses, right here on Main (and adjacent) Streets! You can pick up your Passport and Raffle Tickets at Shore Nutrition or the Chamber of Commerce office. Plan to visit the participating businesses on your Passport to get stamped and enter raffle drawings at each location. When you are finished, please join us as early as 5 PM at The Cut for networking until 7 PM. *Don’t forget to turn in your Passports for additional Grand Prize Drawings to be held at 6:15 PM. (You do not have to be present to win!)

Register and purchase your Passport & Raffle Tickets today for just $15/$25 (You may also purchase at Shore Nutrition or at the Chamber office.)

Another fun week at The Cut + Buy-One-Get-One ticket deals!!


Thursday:
MAGMA Showcase – Come celebrate MAGMA with a special fundraiser performance, featuring work performed by students in the adult dance program.
Choreography by Sarah Slifer Swift, Carey McKinley, Dawn Pratson, Sophia Dunzelman, Laura Dow, and Myles Kercher. Proceeds go to supporting performing artists presenting work at MAGMA, and need-based scholarships for youth dance classes. There are still tickets available for this show.
Doors at 6:30pm, show at 7pm.
Friday:
DJ Vito – FREE Dance Party – Come out for an unforgettable night with DJ Vito Ferrara spinning the best house and top 40 remixes. Big dancefloor, big sound, big bar! This is a FREE event. 9pm – Midnight.
Saturday:
Jeffrey Foucault with Erik Koskinen – Jeffrey Foucault’s new album, “The Universal Fire” dropped last week and we can’t wait to hear some of it LIVE on The Cut stage! There are Buy-One-Get-One tickets available for this show. Simply put a 2 in the “number of tickets” box and the discount will automatically be applied at checkout. Doors at 7pm, show at 8pm. Jesse Dayton with Mike Stinson- Jesse is a towering figure in the realm of outlaw country and we are so excited to have him on The Cut stage! This week The Kitchen at The Cut restaurant will be serving a modified Bar Bites menu only as our new Executive Chef Justus Dunton prepares to launch a new fall menu later this month.
