Happy 4th! Enjoy William Gillespie with the gorgeous solo from the George Washington finale number (George M. Cohan samples Battle Hymn of the Republic in You’re a Grand Old Flag); and two clips with James Cagney as Cohan: dancing down the White House stairs; and on the dock because Gloucester and the fireworks signal from the ocean liner 🙂
