What a Venue for Graduation!

What a venue for graduation! If there’s a more iconic spot for a High School Graduation….along the river, facing Gloucester Harbor…I don’t know of it. My parents both graduated from Gloucester High School, but I grew up in Middleton until 7th grade and then moved to Hamilton. I graduated from Hamilton/Wenham and then later, after college, moved to Rockport then Gloucester. My boys went to the private school where I work….and then Thatcher attended Middle School in Rockport. He now goes to Essex Tech…a phenomenal school. So, first the very first time, I have a child at Gloucester High School. Finn is only a Freshman (and is loving it) and I didn’t attend Graduation, but I know some phenomenal students who graduated this year and was happy to snap this photo while driving past. Congratulations to GHS, Class of 2024!

What a cute little place Last Stop on East Main Street is! Jim loves it there and thought it should be shared with you! Perfect stop on your way to summer fun.

Based on feedback we should have a great group of people coming! We will be live-streaming from Celtics Game 3 Watch Party At Harbor 9 at 6:30 with Celtic Swag giveaways to 7:30. There will be half price Maria’s Pizza and a full bar. It’s gonna be a blast!

Late Saturday afternoon the clouds over the beach were beautiful.  It got a little foggy with winds.  Great afternoon.  Also, the ducks and ducklings swimming are adorable.

Another great week of music and comedy at The Cut! We still have tickets available for every show so grab yours while you can! 

Tuesday: The Cutup – Open Mic Comedy. $5 at the Door. No presale. Come put your name on the list to hit the stage, or just come laugh! 
Wednesday: Wednesday Night Vibes with Jorgan Trio in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Music from 7:30pm – 10pm. No cover.
AND
The O’Maley Middle School Spring Finale Concert in the venue at 6pm. $10 at the door. No presale. All ages welcome. 
Thursday: Jon Langford & The Bright Shiners with Jesse Ahern on the stage. Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm. There are still tickets available for this show. 
AND
Reggae Night with Sarah Brindell and The Naya Rockers in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Music from 8:30-10pm. No cover. 
Friday: Entrian in the venue. Doors at 7:30pm. Show at 8:30pm. There are still tickets available for this show. 
Saturday Brunch: The Causeway Collective in “The Corner” at the front of the restaurant. Brunch served 10am – 2:30pm, live music from 11am – 2pm. No cover. 
Saturday: Jon Butcher Axis with Barrence Whitfield & Sal Baglio’s Giant Rocket Roll Show. Doors at 7pm. Show at 8pm. There are still some tickets available for this show.

As mentioned on the podcast, the best thing I ate last week was the Washington St. salad at the Saltwater Grille on Washington St. Hands down my favorite steak tip salad. Jim enjoyed his Pilgrim burger. Great food combined with the friendly atmosphere and helpful staff, this lunch was a win-win. See you there again soon!
