My View of Life on the Dock

Excited to share that I have been invited to participate on a Panel Discussion at the #coastalconnectionsconference in #OrlandoFL this October at the @margaritavilleresortorlando for @seasideretailermag . If you are a retailer in New England this a a great opportunity and it’s a wonderful place to escape to for a couple of days before the #holidayshoppingseason

Although I cannot seem to stop taking the photos of egrets, I am often disappointed in the results. But we came upon this beauty near Goose Cove under “partly cloudy” skies so I think these do better justice to this gorgeous bird.

Chief Eric Smith is pleased to report that the Gloucester Fire Department is providing all personnel with refresher extrication training this month to better prepare firefighters to quickly and safely free individuals trapped in motor vehicles.
All on-duty personnel will receive training led by Fire Prevention and Training Officer Deputy Chief Barry Aptt.
The training covers the use of hydraulic tools and cribbing, giving firefighters a chance to practice their skills ahead of an actual rescue response.
The training is being conducted at Tally’s Truck Center on Pond Road. Tally’s is also providing vehicles for the training.
“We are grateful to Tally’s Truck Center for supporting our efforts to be prepared for the emergencies we face here in Gloucester,” said Chief Smith. “Extricating someone quickly from a car following an accident is an important skill, and one that we often need to use when lives are on the line, so this training is vitally important. We work hard in our downtime at Gloucester Fire to be ready for the times when there are emergencies.”

Thank you Generous Gardners for the beautiful flowers.

Josiah Aberle “Last night, one of Gloucester’s finest sons, Jim Unis, met with the team to send them off to the District semi final. His speech about being excellent set the tone for the night and we walked off the field with a hard-fought 3-2 win.
But the job isn’t done.
Tomorrow, the Gloucester Little League 12 year old Williamsport All Star Team travels to Beverly to take on Danvers American in the District Championship.
These kids have poured themselves into this tournament. Gloucester should be proud of this group of young men.
Let’s go!”
These Cayman Jack margaritas with Zero sugar are delicious. You’re welcome. Happy Weekend!

Once again, we decided to have a weekday dinner at the Azorean on Washington St. where we ALWAYS feel welcomed and enjoy a wonderful meal. Andrea was our server with a friendly smile and kind words. Jim had one of the specials, Fish Cataplana and I had one of my favorites Lemon Chicken. Look at that garlic! And I especially enjoy that you can taste the lemon in that entree. I have recently begun to appreciate the spicy margaritas and this one was called Hot Blooded. Chocolate Mousse and Carrot Cake for dessert adds up to another great meal in a comfortable atmosphere! Win-Win.
