Hi Joey,
Well, School’s out, but fun’s definitely in at St. Ann’s. Yesterday we took a train into Boston and went to the New England Aquarium. Did you know that they have a new shark and ray "touch tank"? The kids loved to put their hands in the water and feel these creatures as they swam by. We stopped and kicked off our shoes at the Rose Kennedy Greenway and played in the fountains on the way back to North Station. If you haven’t been there in a while–GO! What a perfect day out with kids.
We’re planning lots of great science, cooking, chemistry activities and field trips–later on today we’ll be doing a parachute experiment and tomorrow Mary Connolly, a local beekeeper is coming by to tell the kids all about bees and to do a fun activity. On Friday, after we make and can some pickles , we’ll have our resident astronomer, Ginny Renehan, do a great solar system activity with us. Next week we’ll be baking bread, taking the train into the Boston’s Musuem of Science, among other things. But first, the kids are clamoring for fishing–Gotta go!…. it’s going to be a great summer! If any of your readers want in on the fun, check out the website.
