That Tony Gonzalez caught a record breaking striped bass this morning off the rocks behind the paint factory on Rocky Neck. Tony said he’s been fishing this spot for 32 years trying to catch the elusive monster striped bass, and he finally caught it this morning, and Good Morning Gloucester was on the scene to capture this amazing catch. See photo of Tony with his 54” striper. (Well maybe it was really only 28”, but it is still really big! And that’s no fish tale.)

28″ is a keeper and half the size of the record. but keep trying! they were breaking off the State fish pier at 4:30 this morning.
