Ginormous Loss For City- Jason Grow

I’m unbelievably saddened by the loss of good egg Jason Grow on the Council.

Jason is a guy that looked at each issue and really researched it, gave all sides consideration and then made a decision.  He didn’t go into every vote with a preconceived notion of what way he would vote.  A great mind and a caring individual, losing Jason on the Council is a HUGE LOSS.

I’m not even sure if Jason reads GMG but my words to him would be to enjoy the time with his family and I appreciate all the work he has done for the betterment of our community.

  1. To add injury to insult, one of his ideas was passed by the voters, nearly 2 to 1! To top this all off, one of the projects he spent the most time and effort to “get right” for Gloucester, Gloucester Crossing, people can’t stop raving about. Hugeonomous loss to everyone in Gloucester except his wonderful wife and daughters.

  2. Maybe the low turnout was to blame…PEOPLE…this is what happens when you don’t go and VOTE. Sorry, I am off my soapbox now…

    1. don’t count on it…as was said to me, “salmon only swim up stream once”

      Huge loss to us all.

Anyone ready for a return to a city manager form of government?

  3. Jason has been the first fresh political energy in Gloucester city council- and if only 21 more people voted he would be in! This was a complacent election and this was the result. boo hoo hoo.

  4. I am upset about this to no end. Jason is a real tribute to this city and I for one feel ashamed that I didn’t do more to help get the word out that votes were needed. I hope Jason comes in to the pub sometime so I can buy him a beer…
