seARTS Board & Staff – Dedication Award:

This award is to recognize our former Staff and Board members that have invested in seARTS over the last year.  Each and every one of them has contributed exceptional time and energy into helping us reach this next level of growth – with all the pain and learning involved in the process.

A special word of thanks here to our former Executive  Director, Sara Young.
Also to former Board members –  Bela Marhanas, Peter Van Ness,  Kate Seidman,  Vicki Diez-Canseco, Aria McElhenny,  & Mark Vadala and our summer intern, now in Italy,  Elizabeth Bergeron,

Founder’s Award – JoAnn Castano,  Gordon Goetemann &  David Benjamin

This award is to honor the persons with the vision to initiate and grow seARTS through personal and professional commitment.  It can also be known as the “whatever it takes” award – a level of dedication that only a founding member or disciple thereof can receive.

Despite changes of faces and places,  these people have stayed with seARTS throughout the good times and bad – finding new ways to support the organization and its efforts through exceptional creativity and dedication.

Artistic Inspiration & Support Award –  Lara Lepionka, Susan Erony  Susan Frey, Ernie Morin  (Ernie was recently nominated by Greg Cooke for a Boston Art Award)

This award goes to the person/persons who not only support the organization through their hard work, but also seek to share their artistic talent with others – providing a basis for the community to growth through the arts.

Unsung Hero (ine) Award:  Judy Cox , Dianne Anderson, Kathleen Valentine, Kirstin Myers

This award goes to the behind the scenes working “crew” that makes things happen through design, promotion, and rolling up their sleeves without fanfare and to make it easier for everyone else.

Partnership Awards:  Gail McCarthy (GDT) ,  Julie McConchie (North of Boston), Jane Enos (Cape Ann Beacon), Harriett Webster, (Maritime Heritage Center), Ronda Faloon & Linda Marshall from Cape Ann Museum

This award goes to the people that have, through their individual efforts, demonstrated a true collaborative spirit, working steadily on seARTS behalf above and beyond the call of duty.  And they continue to “believe ” in us….
