  1. I love the state fish pier — there’s always something going on. I love to watch the men fixing the nets.

    Okay they loaded four boxes of fish on that guy’s truck — what’s he going to do with them?

    No wonder the gulls go nuts.

  2. Hi; Joey;
    I enjoy your videos of the working waterfront. I’m working on a series of paintings of the same. I take a lot of pictures there and get a lot of suspicious stares from the workers. I’m sure they’re more comfortable with you since they probably know you. my father was a fisherman and I have a lot of respect for these guys who are trying to make a living during these hard times. Hopefully, I’ll be able to capture that on canvas.
    Thanks Again for the videos.
    Paul

  3. Joe another one of your wonderful creations. Keep up the good work. I also enjoy all the various “what up” poses. Do you have any pictures of baby seagulls? I was lucky enough to take one a while back … the little fluff-ball was walking around in the Gorton parking lot.

  4. Hey Paul thanks a bunch and everyone else for teh kind words. it’s what keeps me going when I don’t think I’ll be able to get creative or squeeze in the updates to maintain the quality of the blog.

  5. The wonderful thing about creativity, Joe, is that it is an ever-renewing resource — the more you do, the more ideas you will have. I was talking with a few of the committee folks at seARTS yesterday and they were raving about what a great job you are doing with this blog. It is a real community resource!

    I think the Zen videos are now my new favorite part!

  6. Great video Joey. Capeannpainter I know what you mean. I’ve taken some close ups of the nets and have gotten some nasty looks. Especially wiyh my leather fringe coat. I must look like I’m undercover. Oh well. The pictures look great…lol…
