Principal Bacheler Civil War Coat Update Awesome Gloucester Maybe

Charles and George King write with the latest update on the Bacheler Civil War Coat:

Hi guys! Sorry it’s been a while, but we have good news:

We just heard that we made the final of this month’s Awesome Gloucester! This grant will help us get the display case for the coat. We asked for feedback and results were just like the museum choice. If you want to come it takes place at The Pilot House at 7:00pm on Monday, January the 16th. It would be great to have a lot of support! Three different projects will give a presentation and the Awesome trustees will choose a winner. We’re grateful for the chance. We hope we win!

Sincerely

  1. Good luck with getting the grant, gentlemen! You have been great at promoting and representing the restoration, and display of that coat. I hope you get the grant! I live too far away to come to support your efforts, but know I will be thinking of you, and supporting from afar!

  2. Congratulations Charles and George! What an awesome opportunity for you.

Charles and George are wise beyond their years; mature, motivated and creative. I think Charles and George and their project are super Awesome and I will be there to cheer them on.

I too love preserving history. Their story about Albert Bacheler is close to my heart, since the town I grew up in was part of the underground railroad. Such synchronicity, that they will be presenting your project on Martin Luther King Day.
