LIVE DRONE: GMG EXCLUSIVE! CAR CRASHES INTO POLE ON WASHINGTON ST.

Moments after the crash,  I get airborne and assess the situation form the air. Quickly, I could see the accident situation, cars involved, and the on-coming traffic backing up. If on call, I believe I could quickly asses similar situations for law enforcement, and the fire department. This would quickly, and in real time, give them the ability to predict traffic backups, and potential problems caused by these type of situations. In the case of a fire, I could in a matter of minutes, be airborne and show the potential threat of fire spreading, or additional breakouts form wind and fly away sparks. Just another day of flying above our fine city. (notice how the GPD and GFD have the situation, and the traffic, perfectly under control and flowing!)

  1. Wow Craig, that was pretty amazing. You are making the normal news shots of something like this look totally lame.

And what caused someone to wander out of the north bound lane in the straightaway approaching Goose Cove, cross the yellow line, cross the oncoming lane, cross the sidewalk and nail a pole with no skid marks?

If they find that the phone of the driver was texting that driver should lose their license for at least a year. They could easily have killed a bunch of people.

But I am blaming someone for something they may not have done. The driver may have had a heart attack or stroke. Hope they are OK.

  2. Craig, Love your drone camera work. Hope to see you filming around town one day … I’ll be the guy asking you all sorts of questions … of course once you land the drone safely. Keep up the great work

      1. Thanks Craig … actually I think Loretta below is on to a great blog post for GMG readers maybe w/some video of you showing how you control the drone. I was amazed at your Schooner Festival drone footage! Cannot believe how high up it was. Some of the schooners looked like models. Very cool!

  3. Wait, you actually have a drone that flies where you want it to and takes pictures? I must have missed that GMG edition. Can you send me a pic of it and explain how it works? Thanks!
