Many, many thanks to the Carl and Marie Silva Family for sharing their story about the origins of their altar, family traditions and celebrations for the St. Joseph Film Project. As are all the altars, Marie’s is beautiful, and I especially love the added touch of the vine covered trellis.

I always look forward to visiting the Silva home on the eve of St. Josephs Day. It’s one of my favorite trolley stops! I love to see the beautiful trellis they construct each year and I especially love singing alone with all their guest. Their home is filled with so much love and laughter… thank you for sharing your beautiful stories and memories with us<3
